The idea of being a strong superhero who can resist the devil is big and exciting. But our strength is not enough on its own. Our years of spiritual practices or built-in safeguards are not the only tools we should be relying on. The first thing we should do is submit to God. Be humble and surrender to Christ first and the rest will follow.<\/p>\n<p>James 4:7-8<\/p>\n<p>Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you.<\/p>\n<p>Following Jesus and enjoying life are not opposite ends of the spectrum.
