My wife took my car to work a month ago, and the rear passenger tire blew on 45. Texas Roadside Assistance was near and started to help her put on the spare. I quickly switched vehicles and got two new tires at my local tire shop. I knew the two other tires were older, but I wanted to squeeze every bit of use out of them before putting more money into a car I wanted to let go of anyway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Here is a picture of me from five days ago. In one week, I got my third low tire pressure warning from one of the older tires I held onto. The exact tire would not hold air for more than 2-3 days at a time, but that did not stop me from visiting the air machines at H-E-B gas stations. I used temporary mends for what required a more permanent fix. All ended well. I returned to the same local tire shop last Friday and now have four fully operational tires on my 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe. I did not want to spend the money, but I did value the safety of my family and others on the road.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
