Dirt Makes Flowers

We stomp our feet before entering the house. We get manicures to remove the excess sediment under our nails. We sweep the floors of it.

Dirt.

It’s removed from finer things but vital in protecting our fruits and vegetables as they grow. It’s the foundation of the beautiful flowers we gift to loved ones.

I see dirt and hardships similarly. We try to hide it from the public, but the difficulties are often so formidable in who we become.

I don’t particularly like dirt, but I like what it helps to produce. Try to take that same attitude toward your hard days. I don’t want to display the dirt in a jar on my mantlepiece, but it’s helping me to produce something worth showing and celebrating.
