Life balance isn’t like balancing a checkbook.
There are 168 hours in a week.
A perfect balance would have 56 hours of rest, 56 of work, and 56 of play.
On paper, that sounds fun, but executing it seems impossible. Our real schedule might look like this.
- 42 hours of rest.
- 50 hours of work.
- 8 hours of family time.
- 7 hours of eating.
- 7 hours of self-care, and cleaning.
- 4 hours of housework.
- 50 hours unaccounted for. Thanks, Netflix, HBO Max, The Bachelor, Amazon Prime, Disney+, and so on.
A life schedule like this is less about numerical balance and more about intentional health.
Think less about making every hour match 1:1 and more about making every hour count. Does your schedule line up with your values?
